Application to my research team:
There are several funding possibilities to join my research team
- for Ph.D., you must apply to the french ministry grants via the Doctoral School of Paris Region (EDPIF), calendar here (~ January-April). I must submit a Ph.D. proposal on EDPIF website before you can apply.
- for postdoc, you must apply to UPSaclay Scientific Training And Research program for the next generation of Physicists, info here (~ June-July). There is proposal to write to apply for the funding.
- for long term visitor, you can get a from the Jean d'Alembert program for a 6 to 12 months visits, see info here, (call in ~ June to July)
If you are interested, please send me the following application documents:
- A motivation letter
- A curriculum vitae
- The contact details of two people willing to provide a letter of recommendation
- Copies of diplomas and transcripts with grades (Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees)
In order to start new international collaborations, I have two projects for which I am looking for students :
Ph. D. proposal :
With Supriya Krishnamurthy (Stockholm University), we aim at studying chemical reaction networks (CRN) using the theory of thermodynamic circuits. The goal is to see if some categories of CRNs are simpler to consider within this formalism. The thesis can be done half in Paris and half in Stockholm.
Ph. D. proposal :
With Bart Cleuren (Hasselt University), we would like to study non equilibrium phase transitions on a paradigmatic model (the so called Brownian donkey model introduced by Bart and Christian Van den Broeck). The goal of the project is to use a mixture of large deviation theory and mean field theories to find out if some properties of equilibrium phase transition exist out of equilibrium.
Master Thesis :
You can contact me if you would like to start a master thesis under my supervision (in case you already have a founding because my institution does not have grants for Master thesis students)
